The Amazon Biodiversity Fund (ABF) is a closed-end, BRL 250 million venture capital fund that provides venture finance for sustainable enterprises with a transformational positive impact on biodiversity and communities in the Legal Amazon of Brazil. It invests across four pillars: conservation/reforestation/community livelihoods, smallholder value chains, sustainable agriculture, and innovation in technology/access to finance/services. ABF was designed in collaboration with USAID and CIAT in 2019, began investing in 2020, and is advised by Impact Earth, with Vox Capital as its representative in Brazil. The fund is domiciled in Brazil and regulated by the Comissão de Valores Mobiliários (CVM).
