FINEP (Financiadora de Estudos e Projetos) is a Brazilian government agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation that provides financial support for innovation, research, and venture capital initiatives. It partners with BNDES to launch thematic venture capital funds, such as the R$250M FIP Conexões Startups for startups with up to R$20M annual revenue and a R$400M AI fund. It also offers direct financing for strategic sectors like semiconductors. FINEP primarily supports Brazilian startups and innovation projects.
