Z Venture Capital (ZVC) is a corporate venture capital firm wholly owned by LINE Yahoo Japan. Founded in 2012 and formed from the merger of YJ Capital and LINE Ventures in 2021, it invests globally with offices in Tokyo, Seoul, and San Francisco. The firm backs startups from seed to late stage across sectors including media, commerce, fintech, AI, and space technology, with a focus on Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and the United States. It manages approximately 185 billion yen across multiple funds, including the ZVC1 fund of 30 billion yen and the EVG Fund II of US$450 million.
