BeGreen is a Brazilian farm-to-table vegetable subscription platform that addresses food waste caused by transporting produce from rural areas to urban supermarkets and restaurants. The company builds urban farms in shopping center parking lots, growing vegetables locally to reduce spoilage and improve freshness. Customers subscribe to receive regular deliveries of vegetables grown on these urban farms. BeGreen has raised significant funding, including R$15.5 million from shopping center developer Aliansce and US$3 million to expand its network of urban farms across Brazil.
