Cheaf is a Mexican foodtech startup that uses artificial intelligence to reduce food waste and enable consumers to purchase food at discounts of up to 50%. The company partners with supermarkets and restaurants to sell surplus or near-expiry food through its mobile app, preventing edible products from being discarded. Cheaf operates in Mexico, Colombia, and Chile, and has partnered with Cencosud in Chile. It raised a $3 million seed round led by Global Founders Capital in 2020.
