Facturama is a Mexican electronic invoicing (e-invoicing) platform that lets individuals and businesses issue, stamp and manage tax-compliant invoices digitally, solving the problem of slow, paper-based invoicing and SAT compliance. Its main offerings include standard and mass invoicing (facturación masiva), payroll (nómina), addendas, retenciones, cotizaciones, accounting features and fiscal calculators, delivered as a cloud SaaS product accessible via web login and an API for stamping invoices with the SAT. It serves Mexican Personas Físicas and Morales of any tax regime, with a stated focus on small businesses and entrepreneurs, and integrates with tools such as Shopify and PayPal. Founded in 2012 by Humberto Ramírez López and Martín Arochi, the company reports serving more than 55,000 SMEs and startups and was named one of Mexico's 15 hottest startups by INC magazine and "best invoicing platform" for entrepreneurs by Entrepreneur magazine. In September 2020 Facturama was acquired by Toronto-based accounting software company FreshBooks to expand into Mexico, with the team and founders joining FreshBooks while remaining based at Facturama's headquarters in San Luis Potosí; at the time of the deal FreshBooks cited 19,000 entrepreneurs joining its customer base.
