Geru is a Brazilian online lending platform that provides personal unsecured loans to prime and near-prime borrowers through a fast, simple, and transparent digital experience. It connects borrowers with investors and also offers payroll loans, FGTS withdrawal loans, and GeruPay, a payment solution that lets merchants offer installment purchases without a card while receiving payment upfront. The company operates in Brazil as a correspondent bank for partner financial institutions. After a merger with Rebel, Geru became part of Open Co, described as Brazil's largest unsecured personal credit fintech, with 100,000 active clients and R$1.5 billion in loans originated by that point.
