Lumni
ChileEdtechFounded 2002
Lumni is an edtech startup that addresses the problem of access to higher education in Latin America by offering an innovative investment model called Income Share Agreements (AIC). Under this model, students can enroll in quality educational programs and pay only a percentage of their future income after graduation, rather than upfront tuition. The company serves students across Latin America, primarily in Chile and Colombia, and has supported over 25,000 students, with 92% coming from low-income families and 46% being women. Lumni has invested USD $110 million in education and employability, manages 32 funds, and its co-founder Felipe Vergara was recognized as an Ashoka entrepreneur in 2006.
