Mercado Diferente is a Brazilian foodtech that operated a subscription service for healthy, non-standard foods. The company offered a recurring delivery model for organic and healthy groceries, aiming to make nutritious food more accessible. It launched Tedi, a virtual assistant chatbot available via WhatsApp that acted as a kitchen assistant and provided recipe information, not limited to its own customers. The startup raised a pre-Series A round of $1.6 million led by Collaborative Fund with participation from Caravela Capital, and later an additional R$9 million, totaling R$45 million in funding.
