Multicaja is a Chilean payments company that provides payment processing and point-of-sale solutions for merchants. Its product offering, marketed under the Klap brand, includes POS terminals, online checkout/e-commerce integrations, and electronic invoicing, enabling businesses to accept debit, credit, prepaid cards and other payment methods. Customers are primarily merchants in Chile, with services such as card acceptance, sales management, and add-ons like electronic billing. In 2019, Credicorp's open innovation arm Krealo acquired 100% of Multicaja's digital business unit for US$19 million, indicating the value of its digital payments business.
