Paganza

UruguayFintechFounded 2013

Paganza is a Uruguayan fintech company offering a mobile payments app that lets users send money to any contact, pay recurring bills, and pay at merchants from their phone. The company addresses the fragmentation and missed-payment problem of household bills by aggregating more than 1,000 enabled services — public utilities, loan installments, credit cards, schools, building expenses and insurance — in one place with automatic bill retrieval and reminders to help users avoid late fees and surcharges. It works by letting users link their existing payment methods, such as bank accounts, and debit from whichever they prefer for each payment, and it also provides a prepaid mobile wallet that users can top up and use as a payment method. The mobile wallet operates under a Electronic Money Issuing Institution (IEDE) license supervised by the Central Bank of Uruguay. Its customers are consumers in Uruguay using the app for everyday bill payments, transfers and merchant payments.
