EcuadorLogisticsFounded 2015

Rappi is a Latin American super app that serves as an intermediary between sellers and consumers by crowdsourcing infrastructure to provide on-demand delivery and digital consumer services. The platform operates as an app marketplace where stores and restaurants register as allies, allowing millions of users to access immediate logistics for food, supermarkets, pharmacies, and other goods without leaving their homes. Founded in 2015 by Simón Borrero, Felipe Villamarín, and Sebastián Mejía, the company has expanded its dominance across nine countries, including Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico, and Brazil. Rappi achieved unicorn status in 2018 and secured a $1 billion investment from SoftBank in 2019, while also expanding into financial services through partnerships with Visa and Davivienda.
