Terradot is a Brazilian-American climate technology startup that specializes in carbon dioxide removal (CDR) through enhanced rock weathering (ERW) on agricultural soils. The company applies crushed silicate rocks to farmland, where chemical reactions capture atmospheric CO₂ and store it as stable carbonates, while also improving soil health and crop yields. Terradot operates primarily in Brazil and the United States, using Brazilian agricultural lands as a large-scale laboratory for its technology. It raised a $58 million Series A round led by Kleiner Perkins, with participation from Microsoft and Google, and recently merged with the ERW company Eion. The startup is backed by a scientific advisory board including leading researchers from Stanford and other institutions.
